The IRT’s return to Alaska. Season four of the Ice Road Truckers will premier on Sunday, June 5th on the History Channel. Lisa Kelly, Hugh Rowland, Alex Debogorski, Jack Jesse, RayVeileux and Greg Boadwine will take you on the finest journey through some of the toughest terrain and dangerous roads you can possibly imagine. As these tough men and women compete throughout the season to win the record haul, Jack Jesse will have to work hard to stay champion at season end while Lisa Kelly, the only woman fights to stay competitive in this male-dominate profession.
Season 4 will take the IRT’s with the critically needed cargo north to the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay. These experienced drivers will tackle the most wicked frozen rivers and swamps out past the Dalton Highway. Traveling amidst the bizarre and trifling weather conditions these 5 men and 1 woman will journey forward in a sincere effort to deliver the necessities to the folks in Prudhoe Bay.
Enough of the formal crap. Personally I love this show. It is a sit-on-the-edge-what’s-happening-next series. Drivers encountering the serious dangers of frozen but cracked ice to 18-wheelers not having enough speed to build momentum to climb the steepest of icy roads to drivers running off the freezing roadways and tumbling down the embankments this is a must see reality series.
Now I fully understand this is reality television and the producers are showcasing the most hazardous and menacing predicaments but it is northern Alaska and the pristine glory of God’s great county is downright beautiful.
And when this series ends, take the time watch Lisa Kelly and two of her cohorts hit the most deadliest roads of the Himalaya’s. Lisa Kelly, I am rooting for you. And the rest of the crew too.
Tune in Sunday, June 5th on the History Channel. Information taken from History’s Channel Ice Road Truckers.
